I was a junior in high school then, and finding a career was the last thing on my mind. Girls and trucks seemed way more interesting, but so did making my own money.

I’ll always be grateful for that job because I learned a lot about the electric business, but I learned even more about myself. Solving problems and fixing things felt great, and all these years later that feeling hasn’t faded one bit.

I got my big shot working for a guy named Steve at Kee Electric. He was a good man who taught me this business from the inside out. I started out as a helper, and soon I was running my own truck.

Looking back, I realize that Steve really inspired me to go out on my own. Having a job was good, but owning a business was better. After years of saving my pennies, I was finally ready, and here we are.

That was 3 years ago, and we’re growing every year.

We run a pretty simple playbook, as you can tell by our slogan. Instead of adding fancy this and fancy that, we’re focused on taking away the bad things customers don’t deserve.

We answer our phone, show up on time, and won’t look at you funny if you ask a question. You’ll never have to ask us for great service because we treat everyone like family, no matter how big or small your job is.

For us, it’s not about ridiculous coupons, jingles, or flashing lights. We’re about showing up, getting right to work, and keeping our word from the moment you pick up the phone.

That starts and ends with plain English. We’ll explain your options, and you won’t need a translator to understand our paperwork. There’s a reason big companies like Home Depot don’t hesitate to send us business.

I can tell you one thing for sure, and it’s something we’re really proud of. Our customers share our number with everyone they know, and we can’t think of a higher compliment.
